IIBA-OC July Meeting - The Business Intelligence Business Analyst
Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM (PDT)
The Business Intelligence BA:
Requirements Gathering, Analysis,
and Tracking for Business Intelligence
Big Data is driving the need to provide tools that will translate raw data into actionable information. As a result of the demand to implement such tools, growth rates in demand for BI BAs are now estimated at as high as 22% annually through 2020.
What BI tools exist in the market place? How do these tools differ from one another? How are efforts to capture BI project requirements different from other requirements gathering efforts? How can you prepare for the role of BI BA?
This presentation will include an overview of BI tools and tool categories, in general, as well as a case study in capturing requirements for QlikView deliverables. At the close of the discussion, you will be equipped to answer each of the questions outlined above.
