Participation is limited to employees of tribal and urban Indian health programs.
Participation will be limited to three individuals per program.
There is no registration fee for this training.
Target Audience: Coders, office managers, medical office billing specialists, Contract Health Service technicians and others involved in the coding and reimbursement, and compliance efforts for tribal and urban Indian health programs.
The conversion to ICD-10 is a complex transition involving people, processes and systems, warns CMS and other leading health care authorities. Your reimbursement is in jeopardy if your office isn't ready in time. This class addresses the transition and all of its components. Get a comprehensive look at both the staged transition and hands-on coding practice. The instructor will provide a demonstration of new code characteristics, and guidelines, crosswalk comparisons from ICD-9 and much more.
Sites and participants are responsible for bringing their own 2011, 2012, or 2013 Draft ICD-10-CM code book and/or access to on-line ICD-10 codes.
This training will provide a minimum of 14 Continuing Education Credits.
