iGEM is hosting a day of leadership development for girls in grades 5 - 8 on the Northwestern Evanston campus. Our aim is to help girls develop the skills and confidence to tackle the many challenges leadership entails and to make a difference in their communities and in the world. The morning portion of the summit will include a speaker, leadership building activities, and open dialogue centered on developing skills and values. After lunch, we will reconvene for a presentation and various interactive activities focused on the following issues affecting girls around the world: access to education, healthcare, safety, and leadership opportunities.
