PwC Jamaica is pleased to present its annual International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Seminar, entitled PwC's IFRS - In Focus, 2016.
Now in its 9th year, this PwC Jamaica event is geared towards providing you with guidance on new standards, amendments to existing standards, the latest thinking of the standard setters and insights on standards currently under development.
We are also pleased to announce that our lead presenter for the 2016 event will be Tony de Bell, a member of PwC Global IFRS Leadership Team in London. Tony has been a board member of the IFRS Interpretations Committee (IC) since 2013. Tony is no stranger to Jamaica having led our seminar for several years prior to taking a break to concentrate on his work at the IC. Tony works with a number of multinational clients in the communications and technology sector and manufacturing sectors and supports PwC’s clients and engagement teams around the world in connection with transition to IFRS 15. He also speaks and writes regularly on IFRS topics and leads the PwC team liaising with the IASB’s revenue recognition, disclosure and conceptual framework project teams. On the day, Tony will be supported by the PwC Jamaica team, led by Alok Jain.

Early Bird Discount PwC's IFRS - In Focus, 2016 seminar would normally be J$25,000 (incl. GCT) per person to include seminar materials, lunch and coffee breaks. However, if you book now and your payment is received before 31 August 2016, you will qualify for an early bird discount, which means you would only pay J$20,000 (incl. GCT) per person.
Group Booking Discount For organisations that book a minimum of 10 attendees, a group booking discount will apply, which means you would only have to pay J$20,000 (incl. GCT) per person.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this seminar a free event or a paid for event? This is a paid-for event. However, you can register online for free. Once you have successfully registered, we will send you an invoice for your place. On receipt of your payment, your place at PwC's IFRS - In Focus, 2016 is secured.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Yes, please do bring your ticket with you to the event. There is a unique QR Code which forms part of your ticket and we scan that on your arrival to the event as confirmation in our records of your attendance. If you forget the printed ticket, but have the email copy, that is acceptable also.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable? Yes, your place may be transferred to someone else if you no longer wish to, or can't attend. You can update this information yourself or you may wish to contact us to update the information for you. Either way, we will need to have notice of this no later than 48 hours prior to the event.
What is the attire for the seminar? Business casual, comfortable wear.
Does the registration fee cover everything?Yes, the registration fee includes the course material plus lunch and other refreshments throughout the day.
If I have registered for the event and later discover that I cannot attend, will I receive a refund? Sure! You can request a full refund up to a week prior to the event. After that, it may be best to transfer the ticket to a colleague or someone else who wishes to attend.
