"MAGIC CAMP"

June 28 - July 4

SYNOPSIS

To escape the pressures of growing up, magic-obsessed kids congregate at the one place they can be themselves: Tannen's Magic Camp, the world's oldest and most prestigious training ground for young magicians. They want to prove themselves on the same stage where superstars like Blaine and Copperfield once performed. To get there, they need more than sleight of hand. They have to find the magic inside.

Magic Camp is an award-winning documentary from two-time Emmy-nominated director Judd Ehrlich (Run for Your Life, Mayor of the West Side) and the cinematographer of Sundance favorites Word Wars and American Teen.

"The enchantment is irresistible in Judd Ehrlich’s documentary Magic Camp" - The New York Times

MAGIC CAMP is completing a successful festival run across the country and around the world. Along the way, the film has garnered praise from audiences, festivals, and the press, including The New York Times.

As Filmmaker Magazine notes, "Few works step back from the American Idol-style face-off to depict the literal beginnings of their performer subjects. One film that does is Judd Ehrlich’s MAGIC CAMP.”

The Royal Gazette adds, "MAGIC CAMP gives off a warm glow from the opening seconds of footage to the final curtain. An uplifting film that is about much more than sleight-of-hand. Likely to leave the viewer agreeing that 'nothing is impossible.'" MAGIC CAMP was recently acquired for North American distribution by SnagFilms and international distribution by Films Transit, who called the film, “wonderful, fun, uplifting, inspiring...the magic is, as it always is, magical.”
