This program will be an introductory discussion of the DMX lighting control protocol. We will discuss:
1. Whate is DMX?
2. Types of lighting design that would benefit from DMX (e.g. color changing LEDs)
3. How to specify and install a DMX system?
4. DMX and Life Safety: NEC 700.24 Directly Controlled Luminaires for Emergency Illumination.

Grant Haase, Light Tech LLC
Grant Haase is a field service technician based out of Raleigh, NC. He is a certified technician for several lighting control companies, that have brought him across the country. Grant applies his 20 years of theatre control speciality to commercial applications ranging from 60 story skyscrapers to hospital rooms.

We are a nonprofit organization of lighting industry professionals united in a mission "to advance knowledge and to disseminate information for the improvement of the lighted environment to the benefit of society."
This section has approximately 120 active members that reside in the area of North Carolina from the Research Triangle (Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill) to the coast. Our membership includes a diverse group of professionals including lighting designers, architects, engineers, manufacturers, interior designers, electrical contractors, facility managers and salespersons, just to name a few.
