Identity Lunch @sxsw
Sunday, March 15, 2009 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM (CDT)
So we thought we would do lunch at 12:30 after the panel on Sunday morning at 11:30 on OpenID, Oauth, Data Portability and the Enterprise.
It will be moderated by Kaliya Hamlin Super Hero, Identity Woman
The debate over identity, data and authentication is gaining ground in the social networking world. The more difficult discussion regarding enterprises and Web 2.0 has yet to start. Businesses realize that they must protect the data of their company, employees and customers. Join brave leaders from several Web Application companies that are beginning the discussion, Are OpenID and OAuth good for the enterprise?"
There is lots to talk about and this is an oportunity to continue the conversation after the panel
Kaliya has been hosing identity dinners around the country - so why not a lunch at sxsw.
What the heck to do we mean by identity??? all those fun user-centric, user-driven tools that we have been working at innovating for a while now they include -
* Information Cards,
* Activity Streams,
* Distributed Socail Networking,
* Portable Contacts,
* SAML (security assertion markup language).
I am most intersted in hearing from folks not "into" these technologies at all but interested in the application beyond what we have thought of to date - also those interested in solving the challenges like user experience.
Identity Commons - a community of groups working together on the identity layer of the web - rooted in shared principles. We have a community conference where many projects get together at the Interent Idenitty Workshop - May 18-20.
