Hurricane Sandy Symposium
Wednesday, June 26, 2013 from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (PDT)
The Puget Sound Regional Catastrophic Planning Team and the Northwest Response Healthcare Network invite you to attend the Hurricane Sandy Symposium. Emergency managers from New York, New Jersey and the public/private All Hazards Consortium will share their first hand experiences of Sandy. Gain valuable insights from lessons they learned as responders and survivors of a hurricane that resulted in loss of life, billions of dollars in damage, and serious infrastructure disruption. Representatives from Bellevue Hospital, heavily impacted by flooding from Sandy in Lower Manhattan, have also been invited to speak. Bellevue Hospital is the oldest public hospital in the United States, with more than 750 beds, six Intensive Care Units, a world-renowned Emergency Service and Trauma Center.
To help keep program costs down, lunch will be on your own.
