On November 14th and 15th, 2013, at the TIME Conference Center in New York City, many of the most innovative people and organizations in the science and technology world will come together for an historic gathering - the 2013 World Technology Summit & Awards (the tweflth incarnation) - to celebrate each other's accomplishments; to explore what is imminent, possible, and important in and around emerging technologies; and to create the kinds of serendipitous relationships that create the future.
The majority of Summit participants are either current WTN members (primarily winners/finalists from previous World Technology Awards cycles, as selected by their peers as those doing the innovative work of "the greatest likely long-term significance") or 2013 World Technology Award nominees. A combination of keynote talks, panel discussions, and breakout sessions... and potentially-career-altering-networking opportunities over two days concluding with a gala black-tie Awards ceremony on the second night.
This year, the WTN is organizing an intense brainstorming workshop on November 15th - the second day of the Summit - to focus on our 2013 initiative - "End Global Hunger in a Decade." By bringing together some of the most innovative people in the world (who are NOT experts on hunger) along with some of the leading experts on hunger, we are seeking to generate a few truly valuable short-term ideas and long-term ideas to help advance the field. We are very glad you will be joining us.
You can register to attend the Hunger initiative portion of the Summit on this site.
NOTE: If you wish to attend the entire World Technology Summit over the full two-days (Nov. 14th) or you wish to purchase tickets for the World Technology Awards gala (evening of Nov. 15th), please select those options as appropriate.

The World Technology Network
The WTN is a curated membership community comprised of the world's most innovative individuals and organizations in science, technology, and related fields. The WTN and its members – those creating the 21st century – are focused on exploring what is imminent, possible, and important in and around emerging technologies.
The WTN brings key players together – from cutting-edge technologists to forward-thinking financiers, from conceptual futurists to grounded entrepreneurs, from insightful science writers to savvy marketers, from big-picture government officials to focused policy analysts, and from the world's leading corporations to the world's newest start-ups – helping to make things happen sooner and better than they might have.
The WTN exists to encourage serendipity – the happy accidents of colliding ideas and new relationships that cause the biggest breakthroughs for individuals and institutions. The WTN works to accomplish its mission through global and regional events for its members (and others) to help make connections among them, and to examine the likely implications and possible applications of emerging technologies.
The World Technology Awards are presented each year to the outstanding innovators from each sector within the technology arena, both as a way to honor those individuals and as a vetting mechanism to determine the newest WTN members. The Awards are announced each year in a gala ceremony at the close of the annual World Technology Summit. The World Technology Summit is a global gathering of the WTN membership as well as other delegates.
