A 5-part multi-media training series from May to Sept. to gain knowledge about domestic and international slavery, learn about God’s heart for justice, and build your personal action plan to go forth as an abolitionist.

Presented by Red Window Project U.S. Director & International Justice Mission Advocacy Leader Mark Fisher. 3-5 p.m. May 26, June 16, July 21, August 18, and September 15. Hosted by Cornerstone Fellowship--Walnut Creek Campus at Creekside Community Church in Alamo.

Session 1:  May 26 In-Depth Human Trafficking Crash Course. Who, what, how, and where. Abolition: best practices, key organizations, and recommended resources.

Session 2: June 16 Advocacy & Lobbying. CA and U.S. human trafficking laws. Seeking justice by changing public policy. Preview of Sacramento Lobby Day (June 24).

Session 3: July 21 The God of justice, rescue, and liberation. Biblical justice study from Genesis to Revelation. The role of the Church and Christians in doing justice.

Session 4: August 18 Looking in & speaking up. The demand side of human trafficking. Loving victims as neighbors. Interceding in prayer. Raising awareness.

Session 5: September 15 Words & deeds: walking the talk. Prevention: vulnerable. Rescue and protection: victims. Aftercare and restoration: survivors. Building your abolition plan.

Cost to attend the remaining 1 session is $15, including “Good News About Injustice” Book by Gary Haugen. All proceeds go to RWP and IJM for their work to end human trafficking and serve trafficking victims.

Know & Go Training

Know & Go classes and workshops provide information about social injustice and training to uphold what is right and correct what is wrong.

The organizer of these classes and primary trainer is Mark Fisher, a volunteer speaker and state leader for International Justice Mission, a global organization that protects the poor from violence in the developing world. He was the U.S. Director of 10ThousandWindows, a nonprofit serving survivors of human trafficking in the Philippines.

He is active in anti-trafficking advocacy, prevention, intervention, and restoration initiatives in the San Francisco Bay area. He is a human trafficking columnist for Examiner.com and is completing an M.A. in Ministry and Leadership from Western Seminary.
