Allagash White

Witbier - 5%
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White is unique and truly refreshing. Brewed with a generous portion of wheat and our own special blend of spices, this beer is light and slightly cloudy in appearance, with a spicy aroma. Overall, it is a beer that is very drinkable and smooth any time of the year.

Allagash Tripel

Belgian Tripel - 9%
This golden hued ale is marked by passion fruit and herbal notes in the aroma, with subtle suggestions of banana and honey surfacing from its deep and complex palate. The Tripel's finish is remarkably long and soothing.

Allagash Curieux

Belgian Tripel - 11%
In October of 2004, we released the first beer in our series of Barrel Aged beers, Allagash Curieux. To make the Curieux we age our Tripel Ale in Jim Beam barrels for 8 weeks in our cellar. During the aging process in bourbon barrels, the beer is totally transformed, and many new flavors and aromas develop. Most notably, the beer picks up soft coconut and vanilla characteristics...and also a hint of bourbon flavor!

James Bean

Belgian Tripel - 10.3%
James Bean is our bourbon barrel aged Tripel (Curieux), with cold pressed coffee added. We use coffee from www.mattscoffee.com right here in Maine. Released January 2013.

Bourbon Barrel Black

Belgian Specialty Ale - 9.2%
Our Belgian Style Stout, Black, aged for one year in bourbon barrels. The toffee, chocolate, and coconut nose is followed by a smooth bitter chocolate and bourbon flavor. The finish is dry, roasted and warming.

Session Brett Ale

Wild Ale - 4.6%
Hopped with Mosaic and fermented with house strain of Brettanomyces.

Allagash Midnight Brett

Wild Ale - 7.3%
Midnight Brett is chocolate brown in color, brewed with Midnight wheat, raw wheat and rye malt. It was hopped with a blend of Perle, Glacier and Simcoe hops. The beer was fermented with our house strain of Brettanomyces in stainless tanks. The finished beer has the aroma and flavor of fresh berries, sour cherries and a slight roasted character. The finish is pleasantly tart and fruity making this beer very drinkable.

Allagash Golden Brett

Wild Ale - 7.2%
Golden Brett is a dark golden colored beer, brewed with Victory, 2-Row and Red Wheat malt. It was lightly hopped with a blend of Northern Brewer and Simcoe hops. The beer started it's primary fermentation in a stainless tank and finished fermentation in a 800 gallon oak foudre Wine Barrels. The finished beer has fruity nose and flavors of citrus, apricot and bread crust. The mild tartness of the beer gives way to a long, clean finish.

Allagash Confluence Ale 2013

Belgian Golden Strong Ale - 7.5%
Confluence is created with a mixed fermentation; using our house primary Belgian style yeast in combination with our proprietary Brettanomyces strain. The two yeast strains work in tandem creating a marriage between spice and fruit flavors that ultimately leave a lingering silky mouth feel. After fermentation, Confluence undergoes a lengthy aging process in stainless steel tanks to enhance the flavors. Prior to bottling, it is dry hopped with Glacier hops, providing a pleasant balance of aromas.

Confluence 2014

American Pale Ale - 7.4%
Allagash Confluence Ale is created with a mixed fermentation; utilizing our house primary Belgian style yeast in combination with our proprietary Brettanomyces strain. The two yeast strains work in tandem creating a marriage between spice and fruit flavors that ultimately leave a lingering silky mouth feel. Confluence is brewed with a blend of both imported pilsner and domestic pale malts as well as a portion of caramel malt, resulting in a complex malty profile.

Allagash Interlude 2013

Sour Ale - 9.5%
Two yeast strains were used to create this unique 9.5% ABV Belgian style ale. The first, a Belgian farmhouse yeast, establishes the flavor foundations of a classic Belgian-style ale. The second, a house strain of Brettanomyces yeast, brings it to the next level contributing an intriguing myriad of flavors including pear, apricot, graham cracker, and bread crust. Finally, a portion of the Interlude is aged in French Merlot and Sirah oak barrels, which impart a distinctive vinous plum character and a drying, almost tannic finish. Try complementing its audacious character with food pairings such as sausages, salami, smoked meats, and bold cheeses.

Allagash Ginger Wit

Witbier - 7.9%
Belgian style witbier brewed with coriander, Cracao, and grated fresh ginger.

Allagash Red Howes

Imperial Stout - 8.5%
Black in color with a creamy biege head, Red Howes is a stout brewed with 2-Row barley, a blend of roasted malts and 3,000lbs of local cranberries, both Red Howes and Early Black varieties. The finished beer has cocoa, coffee and berries in the aroma and flavors of dried fruit and bitter chocolate with a slight tartness and a dry, lingering finish.

Allagash Odyssey

Belgian Dark Strong Ale - 10.4%
Odyssey is the second edition in our Barrel Aged series. It is a dark wheat beer. We age a portion of the beer in New American Medium Toast Oak for 10 months, and a portion in stainless steel for more than six months. We then blend the two different portions of beer to taste. Finally we bottle condition, adding additional yeast and Candi sugar. This deep brown beer boasts an aroma of black treacle and raisin. The flavor hints at dates, with a mildly roasted finish. The finish is dry, punctuated by vanilla.

Allagash Grand Cru 2014

Belgian Golden Strong Ale - 7.2%
We brew this special, deep-golden colored beer each year in limited quantities. It has a full, yet refined malty palate and a gentle fruit and spice aroma. Grand Cru is brewed with a touch of peated malt and spiced with coriander, sweet orange peel and a hint of anise. It is full bodied and has hints of smoke and licorice in the taste and aroma. The malty, warming finish is perfect for colder weather.

Allagash Fluxus 2012

Belgian Specialty Ale - 7.7%
The 2012 Fluxus is a strong golden ale brewed with a mix of barley and spelt, and spiced with both green and pink peppercorns. It was lightly hopped using Northern Brewer, Cascade and Saaz varieties. It was then fermented with with a yeast indigenous to the northern region of Belgium. The resulting beer is a hazy, golden colored ale with herbal and spice notes throughout. The aroma is both fruity, with hints of mango, and spicy, with notes of clove and pepper.

Allagash Fluxus 2013

Porter - 6.4%
Allagash Fluxus is a beer of continuous change. Brewed differently every year to commemorate our anniversary, this year's Fluxus is a porter brewed with a blend of 2-row, coffee and chocolate malts with blood orange pulp and zest. It was hopped using Perle, Tettnang and Glacier varieties. It was then fermented with a Belgian Abbey yeast. The resulting beer is dark brown in color with chocolate and roasted notes throughout the flavor and aroma. The blood orange has a subtle presence in the aroma and the zest expresses itself in the mouth-drying finish by leaving a lingering bitterness. This full bodied ale was the creation of Allagash brewer Patrick Saville, lover of heavy metal, beer and all things dark.

Rachel
