Sales is an important yet under valued piece of a b2b startup's existence. Most startups are founded by technical founders or business people who are not familiar with what it takes to successfully sell and market their offering. Whether you're at the idea stage or have a well funded startup with traction, this class will provide you with the knowledge and actionable items to hit the ground running. 

Mark is responsible for the entire sales and services function at HubSpot, increasing revenue over 6,000% and expanding the team from 1 to 200 employees in five years.  These results placed HubSpot #33 on the 2011 INC 500 Fastest Growing Companies list.  Mark was also awarded the 2010 Salesperson of the Year at the MIT Sales Conference.  Prior to HubSpot, Mark founded and/or held executive positions at start-ups in the social media and mobile sector.  Mark started his career as a Technology Consultant with Accenture.

Mark holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management where he was a semi-finalist in the 2005 MIT $50K Business Plan competition and was awarded the Patrick McGovern award for his contributions to entrepreneurship at MIT.  He holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University.  Mark has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, BostonGlobe, TechCrunch, Harvard Business Review, and other major publications for his entrepreneurial ventures.  

Jorge Soto from Sales4StartUps, a Silicon Valley based organization focused on teaching startups how to sell, will be teaching you his methodology he calls "Top Heavy Selling", which emphasizes the focus on the top of the sales funnel, appointment setting, etc. He will cover everything from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals. 

Dominique Levin is the CMO of Totango. She is a globe trotting entrepreneur, executive, venture investor, and mom - with a passion for the consumerization of the enterprise in general and new ways to co-create value with users online in particular. Prior to Totango Dominique was CEO and CMO at big data platform LogLogic (sold to TIBCO) and CMO at Fundly, an online fundraising platform for nonprofits. She also created over $600 million in shareholder value as a venture investor
and helped Philips Electronics and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone launch new mobile and cloud businesses. Dominique holds a MBA with Distinction from Harvard University and a M.Sc. Cum Laude in Industrial Design from Delft University.
