We cordially invite:

  • Medical, Nursing & Dental Students
  • Policymakers

Topics will include an overview of the Texas Women's Health Program, an update of current screening guidelines, HPV-related diseases in females and males, building a cervical cancer survivorship coalition, community interventions, survivor stories, and several targeted breakout sessions.

We also invite all attendees to stay for a special Exhibit Hall Mixer/Reception from 5:00pm - 6:00pm.

Conference fees: $25 Early Registration, $35 Late Registration, plus a $2.50 administrative fee. Cancer survivors are invited to attend for FREE. There will be no walk-in registrations available. 

The following CEUs will be adminsitered at the Summit:  

  • CHES - Sponsored by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, a designated a provider of continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. This program is designated for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) and/or Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES) to receive up to 5 total Category I continuing education contact hours.  
  • CHW - The Texas A & M School of Rural Public Health Center for Community Health Development’s National CHW Training Center is approved (#00022) by the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) for Community Health Worker (CHW) CEUs. The Summit is approved for five (5) DSHS certified CHW CEUs (Knowledge Base—2, Teaching—2, Communication Skills—1), and two (2) non-certified CHW CEUs (Service Coordination Skills, Knowledge Base on Specific Health Issues, Communication Skills, Advocacy Skills). 
  • CME - This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of Texas Medical Association and the HPV / Cervical Cancer Summit Planning Committee.  The Texas Medical Association is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  The Texas Medical Association designates this (learning format) for a maximum of 4.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
  • CNE - UT Health at Houston School of Nursing is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This activity provides 6.5 contact hours of nursing continuing education.
