Howard Zinn was one of the great orators of the twentieth century; illuminating our history like no other with his classic, A People's History of the United States. This first ever collection of his speeches—on war, racism, social movements and more—will be brought to life in Chicago through dramatic readings and songs. Featuring Anthony Arnove, avery r. young, Maritza Cervantes, Kevin Coval, Kyra Jones, Kiara Lanier, Malcolm London, and a very special guest, TBA! Cosponsored by Haymarket Books, Voices of a People's History, and Young Chicago Authors. Doors at 6:30 pm.
