Event Details

Most athletes warm up with techniques that decrease strength and increase risk of injury and they don't even know it until it's too late.

Answer the following questions:

Assess Yourself, Part 1:
  • Do you use static stretches during your warm up?
  • Are you using the same warm up you used to use?
  • Do you have any unresolved aches and pains?
  • Is your left (fill in the blank) stronger or weaker than your right (fill in the blank)?
If you answered "YES" to ANY of these questions, this workshop is for you. You will learn new patterns and habits that optimize your warm up and your performance.

Assess Yourself Part 2:
  • Do you know how to track down and resolve body blind spots?
  • Do you know how to balance your best efforts with conscious relaxation?
  • Do you know how to squeeze the most out of your recovery time?
  • Do you know how to mobilize and prepare individual joints for movement?

If you answered "NO" to ANY of these questions, this workshop is for you. You will learn how to do proper self care and body-maintenance while optimizing your mindset and performance.

How to Superhack Your Body for Peak Performance

You're invited to go full out in self-education for optimal strength, flexibility, mindset and performance.

In this workshop for climbers, yogis, and anyone who moves their body for sport or fun, Alex will share super ways to hack your warmup and tune yourself up for peak performance.

You will learn simple and powerful techniques to:

  • Improve your movement library so you don't overuse and abuse yourself through training
  • Activate usable strength in seconds with movement and therapy balls
  • Reduce Pain and improve the function of your shoulders and hips
  • Maintain flexibility and suppleness with minimal time
  • Boost confidence, courage, and capacity for doing more of what you love

A 4-Act Workshop in Two Hours This January 26th, 1-3pm in SF.

Act 1: Superhack your Joints for Better Posture*
Movement Blind Spots reduce your range of motion and wear down your tissues. In this workshop you will discover how to find and clear up blind spots so your training doesn't destroy you.

Act 2: Superhack your Pain for Better Performance
Most people either ignore or numb their pain from overuse or body abuse. When you ignore and numb pain, healing never happens and you create a perfect environment for injuries. In this workshop, you will learn how to use movement to reduce chronic pain and improve the health of the tissues at the same time.

Act 3: Superhack your Strength for Better Endurance
There's more to strength than one dimensional reps and sets. Most people overtrain with techniques they don't need. In this workshop, you will learn how to get stronger in less time and build your foundation for greater endurance.

Act 4: Superhack your Mind for Better Awesomeness
The state of your mind radically affects your strength and performance, and your pain and movement ability radically affects your mind. In this workshop, you will learn techniques you'll find nowhere else for uniquely combining movement with mindset to clear fear and boost confidence.

* We will be working with Yoga Tune Up therapy balls - and they will be available for purchase for $12. Feel free to bring your own tennis balls or lacross balls. YTU balls will be provided for your experience.
