How to Read a Beach

Come in from the heat and join us for an armchair tour of Florida's Gulf beaches.  In this illustrated talk, we’ll explore the exciting, ever-changing zone where land meets sea.  What can often-overlooked hills, holes, and wrinkles tell us about our beach sands, plants, and animals?  Every beach is full of clues hidden in plain view.  Suitable for all ages.

Tonya Clayton is the author of How to Read a Florida Gulf Coast Beach. Books will be available for purchase. She is a graduate of the Florida Master Naturalist Program and the Florida Natural Resources Leadership Institute.
