Why do Businesses Fail? Get to the root cause. This session will discuss the reasons for business failure and how they can be avoided. Some of the reasons for business failure are; The Business

  • Had not carried out enough research.
  • Had not clearly identified their target audience.
  • Did not target their marketing
  • Had not produced a product that would benefit the customer.
  • Had insufficient finance.
  • Had bad management.
  • Had poor financial control.
  • Had false belief in business.
  • Limited the time spent developing the business.
  • Had not recognized their limited ability.

Attend this session and find out how business failure can be turned into a SUCCESS!

The presenter is Victor Green, a successful serial entrepreneur who has started many businesses in different industries. He will also share his own experiences of why some of his businesses failed and how his failures turned to success. There will be plenty of time for Q&A.

This session will allow you a few minutes to pitch your idea and then Victor Green, the moderator, will tell you what changes should be made to improve your pitch. It will be a great opportunity to help you learn what investors are looking for when they put money into a business. Be prepared for an exciting session. Victor Green is a serial entrepreneur and has started many businesses and has invested in many others. He will guide you and help you get the best out of your pitch. Santa Monica College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in collaboration with the U.S. Small Business Administration, Los Angeles District Office offers free, confidential one-on-one business consulting, as well as low-cost workshops, to support new entrepreneurs and current business owners in all aspects of successfully running a small business.  SBDC’s consultants have education and expertise in a diversity of areas, including but not limited to:  Financing, Marketing, Business Operations and Management, Business Planning and more to help your business grow.

The SBDC is funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration, and also funded in part by state, local, and private sector partners. The Small Business Administration and Resource Partners (such as SBDC, WBC and SCORE) offer a variety of free classes for business owners in its conference room, located at 330 N. Brand Blvd., Suite 1200, Glendale, CA 91203.
