Steve Machesney is VP of Strategy at Fathom, a West Hartford, CT basedbrand strategy and experience firm. At Fathom he helps clients architect aplan for measuring success. Ensuring that creative direction is pairedwith business success is Steve's line of sight. Making things better, moreefficient or more productive was instilled in Steve while learning a styleof lean manufacturing at The Wiremold Company. There, the kaizenphilosophy, that ideas can come from anywhere, made a permanent mark onhim and has been the basis for his inquisitive nature ever since.Before arriving at Fathom, Steve was the Global Online Strategist forCovidien and founded online marketing educator WebMark, a division of NewHorizons. Steve holds an MS in Marketing from Rensselaer PolytechnicInstitute and is a graduate of the State University of New York atBuffalo. An aspiring boat builder and sailor, he got the sailing bug whenworking for Mystic Whaler Cruises in Mystic,CT, and was a crew member on a125 foot schooner.
