Laura George, author of "Excuse Me, Your Job is Waiting", will speak at the Hudson Library & Historical Society on Wednesday, July 17 at 10 a.m. Her topic is, "How to be a Job Search Superhero". Her goal is to have attendees, “begin to think like a human resource person and broaden your knowledge of how employers choose candidates.”
George is President of LHG Consulting and a former human resource director who specializes in empowering people in the world of work. Her expertise has been sought by The Wall Street Journal, CNN.com and she has spoken at the 92nd Street YMCA in New York City.
Since she has experience with a variety of companies, both in type and size, she has firsthand knowledge in how each recruit employees. George notes, "It's important to take company size, structure, and product into consideration when job seeking."
