The Chicago Tribune is offering a unique tour of the inside of Freedom Center, the large printing and inserting facility along the Chicago River. Built in 1982, the campus houses 10 presses, a newsprint warehouse, a state-of-the-art press plate room and multiple inserting machines. This two-hour tour will include a look at the printing presses, press plates and enormous paper rolls that go into making the Chicago Tribune every day, and will give attendees a taste of this newspaper's long history.

Attendees are required to wear closed-toe shoes and be prepared for a healthy dose of walking, including some stairs. Attendees receive a complimentary aluminum Chicago Sports press plate (a $35 retail value)!

Only 16 spaces available. Children must be 10 years of age or older. Free parking is included in the ticket price. Parking lot opens 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour.

No refunds within 7 days of the event. You will not receive paper tickets. You will receive a confirmation email that includes a confirmation number for your ticket(s). You must PRINT and bring your ticket(s) to the event entrance, or display them on your smart phone.
