Event Details

This free workshop will examine the challenges and opportunities facing schools trying to reduce their carbon emissions and how they can best integrate their sustainability initiatives into the curriculum.

The workshop will discuss specifically:

  • Why take action
  • What carbon neutral means for schools
  • What a carbon footprint involves
  • How to best reduce emissions
  • Common obstacles faced by schools
  • What support exists and what else is needed

By attending this workshop, your school will have the opportunity to be selected to participate in a new Low Carbon Schools pilot program. This program will enable participating schools to calculate their own carbon footprint, identify and implement sustainability and carbon reduction initiatives and provide assistance in becoming carbon neutral. Participating schools will also be involved in the development of a range of innovative online tools and resources to assist schools on their low carbon journey.

Breakfast provided courtesy of City of Fremantle.
