Abstract:
We will discuss how the NYC Buildings Department Investigative /Engineering Services covers incident response around the city, in real time, providing code compliant action plans for site stabilization after a fire of building incident.. We will discuss the code compliancy issues with these actions and how we maintain public safety. We will also briefly discuss other engineering units under the IES portfolio, Concrete Enforcement Unit, Façade Inspection Unit, Compromised Buildings Unit and Retaining Wall Unit. We will discuss how we sort out the services to these properties, in particular, electrical.
