Please join us on the 17th of July when the Dot Fulfillment Services in conjunction with the OC Marketing & Advertising Association will host a lunch & learn seminar at Ingram Micro headquarters.

Meeting Topic: How Companies are Harnessing the Power of Philanthropy and Volunteerism

Many small companies to large corporations in Orange County are reexamining the business case related to charitable giving. With the lingering economic uncertainties and the increased demand for community services provided by local nonprofits, many corporate executives and business owners want to leverage their charitable investments to strengthen a double bottom line (business and social). Successful companies are restructuring and integrating their philanthropy, volunteering and reputation-building goals to be aligned with their primary business goals.

Several trends will be explored:

  • Orange County: Community Needs and Nonprofit Sector
  • Philanthropy: Shifting to Strategic Business Practices
  • Volunteering: Engaging Employees at Work and in Community
  • Reputation: Changing Perspectives on Publicizing Giving
  • Partnerships: Growing Company Collaborations
  • Call to Action: Bridging the Social Gap

Our Local Orange County Charity that we willl highlight at this months lunch and learn event will be:
KidWorks – Restoring At Risk Neighborhoods, One Life at a Time

Every day, children in Santa Ana face crime, poverty, and violence. In the face of these problems, so many children are losing hope and falling through the cracks, right in the backyard of Orange County. But at KidWorks, we believe in the power of hope to change a single life and in the power of a single life to change a family, a neighborhood, and an entire community. When a child believes their dreams are possible, they grow to realize those dreams – both for their own lives and for the lives of those around them. Tutoring. Mentoring. Exercise. Accountability. Encouragement. These basic building blocks are starting a revolution of hope in central Santa Ana.
