H.O.T. Mapping in Northern Uganda with the Red Cross
Sunday, August 19, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM (EDT)
Join us on World Humanitarian Day at the headquarters of the American Red Cross to help create maps in OpenStreetMap for RC's work in post-conflict cities of Northern Uganda. Whether you are new to OSM, or experienced, come learn and gather with the DC mapping community in the afternoon of Sunday August 19.
You'll need to bring your own laptop. ARC will provide pizzas and sodas, and (slightly finicky) WIFI. Where summery clothes, ARC runs with the AC in "green" mode on weekends.
Important: If you want to attend, we need your name by end of day Thursday, for security. We can probably fit about 25 people total.
