Event Details

Hope Day 5K is the kick-off event to the inaugural Hope Day, benefiting Homes of Hope for Children. Hope Day will be a family fun day filled with all of the makings of a great family outing – live entertainment, food and beverages, fun jumps, inflatable slides, games, and more. Your participation in the 5K will get the day started on the right foot!

Registration is only $25 and includes a t-shirt, swag bag, post-race snacks and beverages. Online registration includes an additional online processing fee. If you do not wish to pay this fee, please email sustainablehopeforchildren@gmail.com for a print registration.

The race will begin at 8:00 am, with bag pick-up beginning at 7:00 am. The race will start and finish at Pride Field at Southern Miss. If you have any questions about the Hope Day 5K or Hope Day, email sustainablehopeforchildren@gmail.com or call 601.310.9456. Print registrations are also available. Race day registration will be available for $35; race day registrants are not guaranteed a swag bag.

Age Categories: 0-11, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
Awards: Presented to first place male and female in each age category, and top three overall.
Awards will be presented at 9:00 am.

Race timed by Audrey Jackson of Diva Timing.

All profits from the Hope Day 5K and Hope Day will benefit Homes of Hope for Children.

Sustainable Hope

Sustainable Hope is a group of six young professionals in the greater Hattiesburg Area who are participating in the Area Development Partnership's Leadership Pinebelt program for the 2014 year. Charged with developing a project to fulfill a need within the area, Sustainable Hope members found Homes of Hope for Children and after learning more about the organization, decided to raise funds and awareness for the organization.

Sustainable Hope members include Chase Blankenship, Brian Harris, Catherine Lott, Sabrina McArthur, Dane Reiter and Amanda Strickland. You can reach the group at sustainablehopeforchildren@gmail.com.
