A job and resource fair for Veterans, National Guard, and Reservists returning from active duty.

THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL JOB SEEKERS AT NO COST!

  • Dress for success and bring your resume.
  • Meet and interview with employers.
  • Find out about job opportunities.
  • Find out about apprenticeship and training opportunities for Veterans.
  • Register in advance to avoid registration lines.

Q. Is this job fair only for veterans?

A. Although the job fair is targeted for veterans, it is open to any job seeker.  Please register for non-veteran ticket below the Veteran tickets.

Q. How do I prepare for this job fair?

A. You can attend a Pre-Job Fair Career Shop at any of the four America's Job Centers of California/EDD offices: NE San Fernando Valley WorkSource Center (818) 890-9400, Canoga Park WorkSource Center (818) 596-4461, Antelope Valley Lancaster WorkSource Center (661) 726-4128, West Oxnard Job & Career Center (Ventura County) JSCAU136@edd.ca.gov. The Career Shop is free and will be scheduled days in advance of the job fair. Contact your local office for dates and times.

PLEASE NOTE THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER FOR A WORKSHOP IS 10/9/14 AND MAY VARY BY OFFICE.

Q. What time should I show up?

A. Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your registered time slot, allowing yourself enough time to park and wait in the pre-registered line. Please be patient, we will check you in as soon as possible.

Q. Do I need to have my ticket printed for the day of the event?

A. It is strongly suggested that you print your ticket or have your ticket ready to scan on your smartphone to speed up the process. You can also go into any America's Job Centers of California office to print your ticket using their lobby computers.

Q. Will employers at the job fair have job openings?

A. Our goal is to have employers with job opportunities attend the job fair.  Company information will be updated on this event site http://www.thevalley.net/wp-content/uploads/HHHV-2014-Flyer.pdf as they become available.  It's recommended that you visit company website for up to date job opportunities.

Q. What are my transportation/parking options getting to the event?

A. Parking will be validated. There will be bus services offered for veterans in the Antelope Valley, Lancaster area, please contact Antelope Valley Lancaster WorkSource Center (661) 726-4128.

Q. What can/can't I bring to the event?

A. You can bring many copies of your resume.

A. Yes, you can log into your Eventbrite account and update registration information.

Q. The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

A. No, please cancel the ticket that you do not wish to use and register again with the correct information.

Q. I am an Employer who is hiring or a Resource for Veterans that would like to participate as an exhibitor, how do I register for a table?

A. Tables are limited, but please visit www.thevalley.net/hahhav to register and check availability.  Also, please keep us in mind for next year, October 2015.
