Event Details

Homespun is a series of short character films profiling unique individuals around the metro Atlanta area. Partnered by the Atlanta Film Festival, the series allows local filmmakers to collaborate with metro-area musicians, artists and other local talent while featuring the local characters and neighborhoods that give Atlanta its distinctive culture. Through these individual character studies, Atlanta will be revealed as the Homespun phenomena it has become.

Each Homespun Series screening will highlight three short films followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers. All proceeds benefit future Homespun screenings.

Machine Gun Mary
Directed by Jon Watts (AKA Blondie)
Machine Gun Mary profiles Mary Matia, a 22 year-old female boxer who is contender for the 2016 Olympic Games after only training for 2 years.  Mary earned her moniker from her intensity and never-ending stamina in the ring.
