Here's your hands-on opportunity to experience the fundamentals of graphic design, architecture, product development, and biological processes using a variety of open-source software applications, including Sketchup, Inkscape and Blender. We'll spend 10 weeks using the MakersFactory machinery to 3-D print and laser-cut lamps, cards, toys, and stickers plus use the laptop computers onsite to create animations and models. MakersFactory is a new educational maker space in downtown Santa Cruz, CA, where students of all ages will learn and use exciting new technology for 3D printing, modeling, animation, and robotics.
