True Stories from LA's Muslims and Jews
Sunday, December 2nd
7pm at Busby's East 5364 Wilshire Boulevard
Sixteen Muslim and Jewish organizations across Los Angeles have teamed up to bring you a night of true stories on the theme of "Home." Inspired by the wildly popular Moth Story Slams, this night will also include and interactive art installations with LA's emerging Muslim and Jewish artists.
Come for the entertainment and help a worthy cause- proceeds will benefit Family Promise, an interfaith approach to eradicating homelessness. 150 Angelenos came out last year and we're expecting a full house of 200 this year so buy your tickets early!
Convened by NewGround: A Muslim-Jewish Partnership for Change, the organizations that will make you feel at home include:
- American Muslim Professionals
- Bend the Arc
- East Side Jews
- IMAN Cultural Center
- LMU Jewish Student Life
- Masjid Bilal
- MECA SoCal
- Muslim Bar Association of Southern California
- Muslim Public Affairs Council

- Shulamit Gallery
- Six Points

Tickets are $15 online or $20 at the door and include a ticket for one non-alcoholic beverage. This event is part of the National Weekend of Twinning- bringing Muslim and Jewish communities together across the country.
