Basketball ran through Eamon's blood from the time he was a small child, right up until his premature passing in December 2011, at age 44.
Eamon was a leader of the Freshmen, Junior Varsity and Varsity squads and was named Most Valuable Player when he led the Knights to championship of the Long Island Lutheran Christmas Tournament. Eamon was named an all-league player and was recruited by several schools to play basketball at collegiant level, including New York University, where he attended and earned his degree.
During Holy Cross' 50th Year Celebration in 2005, Eamon was named to the 1980's All Decade Team as part of the school's Top 50 Players of all time.
Eamon's basketball legacy is carried on by all of those who ever shared a court with him, especially his wife Kathleen and children Tommy, 15, Eamon, 14, Katie, 12 and Bridget, 4, who have inherited his passion for athletics and competative spirit.
This Memorial Tournament is a real tribute to Eamon's life, because it reflects his belief in putting others before yourself and his understanding that life isn't about what you say, but about what you do.
