Event Details

 

The purpose of the Interdisciplinary Community Education (ICE) Workshop is to present topics addressing medical and behavioral issues for children with special health care needs and adults with neurodevelopmental and related disabilities across the life span.

 

This session will describe the origins and importance of HIPAA, Electronic Protected Health Information, patient’s rights, consent and other elements of security necessary to governmental and regulatory issues associated with patient care for health care professionals

Presenter is Dr. Rebecca Reynolds, Associate Professor in the Department of Health Informatics and Information Management at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

Parking is available on the streets around the Boling Center. As the university has resumed classes, allow time to find parking.
