If the group size is larger than 10, we are going to look for a volunteer to act as a sweeper. Sweepers will walk at the end of the hike line and will make sure the group stays together.
Kristen will be leading this hike.
Kristen will not be waiting for late comers. In fairness to those who arrive on time, the hike will start on time.
What to bring:
Hiking boots are required.
Please bring 2 liters of water as well.
Please dress in layers that are not made out of cotton. Cotton, when wet, does not dry and can make you feel much colder. Synthetic fiber outdoor wear is always ideal in all weather conditions and all seasons.
Consider bringing a snack if you may get hungry while hiking.
Heavy rain will cancel this hike but light rain may not. Please check your inbox for updates and the NJYP.org calendar. Tickets will be refunded.
The entrance to the reservation is on Route 202 (Ramapo Valley Road), about two miles south of Route 17.
