Good Morning, Boston! This class will help wake you up with some of Sofra’s fabulous breakfast items. Jazz up your weekdays before work, or share with friends at a weekend brunch. Sofra’s Pastry Chef, Emily Weber, will demonstrate one of Sofra’s most popular breakfast items – the Persian Spiced Donut, made with brioche dough. Donut filling options are endless. This brioche-based favorite will be followed by Sour Cream Donuts: a moist cake donut; great for home bakers. Boston Magazine hailed Sofra’s Egg Sandwich (with haloumi cheese, feta butter, and bacon) as one of the Top 8 in the city. Emily will demonstrate how to use the same brioche dough to create our famous Egg Sandwich at home. Sweet Focaccia with Fresh Fruit and Brown Butter Custard will round out the morning. Breakfast would not be complete without coffee! Sofra Manager and resident coffee expert Andrew Wirth will stop in to talk about what makes a good cup of Joe, and demonstrate how to do Turkish Coffee at home, using Chef Ana Sortun’s recipe from her cookbook Spice.
