Spice up your dinner with this monthly program on culinary herbs and spices. Each month will have a different program covering things like herb pairings, beverages (think spiced wines and herbal liqueurs), tips on growing them yourself, and of course you'll get a small sample of the finish products at the end.
All for a mere $3 registration fee payable at the door.
October 18: Jim Zink,The Herb Guy from Central Market, demonstrated how to bring create amazing chicken dinners using either Jamaican jerk, curry and herb de provence. And deftly field many, many questions, thoroughly debunking not a few cherished misunderstandings about herbs in general.
November 15: Pat Sweetman, a long-time member of the Herb Society of America, will be showing us how to make incredible herbal liqueurs just in time for holiday entertaining. Look for tips on making herb-infused vodka from another herbal expert. Bring your ID too for this one, as samples will be provided for those 21 and over.
December is a busy month for almost everyone, so Herb Appeal is taking a month off, but will be picking up again in January. Stay tuned for the 2013 line-up!
