Please join us May 26th for a special soccer game between the Rhode Island Reds and the New York Red Bull (reserves) for an event dedicated to the memory of Henry Alexander Andrade who lost his life to Osteosarcoma on Jan 7, 2013 at the age of 18.
Henry was an avid athlete and an inspiring member of our community with his unwavering positive spirit, incomparable kind heart and vibrant genuine smile. Despite courageously battling bone and lung cancer for his entire High School years, Henry graduated from North Providence High School in June of 2012 where he achieved High Honors, was a student athlete in many different sports and helped his school win Championships. He was a member of University of Rhode Island Class of 2016, where he was enrolled in 6 courses studying kinesiology and a member of 3 different clubs. He truly loved college campus life. He was also an active volunteer, teaching young children how to play soccer with Providence Recreation Department since 2006.
Henry was also the founder TEAM HENRY for Kids with Cancer and their Families. An organization created to support kids with Cancer.
Benefits from the game will be donated to the Team Henry Memorial Fund, a fund which is used 100% to support the Tomorrow Fund, Pediatric Cancer Research, Athletic Scholarship in Henry's Memory and the Local Food Pantry.
