Event Details

We are building a library and we need your help! Come volunteer on Saturday 3/8 - Sort and pack books to stock our new library on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.

Bring a book, pack a book, and join us for a day of service and great conversations. In honor of International Women's Day we will discuss the recent VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) changes that affect American Indian communities, and share stories from our students on the Pine Ridge Reservation about women in their community that inspire them.

Sign up for one or both shifts:
Shift 1: 11:00am- 1:00 (noon)
Shift 2: 1:00 (noon)- 3:00pm
*** Food and drinks will be served for all volunteers****
IMPORTANT: Every attendee must register or contact us at info@lakotachildren.org. We will contact all registered volunteers with the event location.
