The team is participarting in Operation Santa this year by adopting letters to Santa from kids and families who are in need. USPS created this program by saving letters sent to the North Pole for people and organizations to read, adopt, and send gifts as Santa and Santa's Helpers!
We read through hundreds of letters and even came across children who listen and LOVE KPOP. Here's one letter that touched our hearts (to see the original letter & gifts please email firstname.lastname@example.org):
Dear Santa and Helpers,
How are you? One of my many traditions is writing you, baking, setting up the tree and sending cards. It's been a year of struggle for us and so many other families. We count our blessings daily still. Last Christmas we barely made it, but in 2010 none of us got a single present. I don't want it to be like that again. My mom has been very sick. That is hard. And we don't have a car so we take the bus everywhere. My stepdad is gone. I love my family very much anything you can do to help us out would be great!
We aren't picky at all. I want my mom to have a new teapot. My older brother Jaron wants an expensive (about $59) double power with wifi 7" touch screen tablet from Walmart. He likes anything black, purple, or LA Lakers. My younger brother Ethan wants an electronic banking Monopoly game. Or anything Finding Nemo or Disney. My younger sister Kylie wants Photo Barbie Fashion Doll or Furby. We all need new shoes so any gift certificates for Payless or Target would be awesome. =) I still love Disney everything, music (Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber) books, games, and chocolate! =D Oh-- we all love Build-A-Bear! (We are walking distance from Food For Less and Smart & Final so any gift certificates would be very appreciated).
Prayers for those who have less. God Bless you this Christmas!!! Thank you!
Katie, Age 11
We want to help them and others so in return we purchased a teapot, Lakers wallet, a Barbie, the electronic banking Monopoly game, a Justin Beiber "Never Say Never" DVD, & a heart necklace for Katie's BIG heart.
