Heart to Heart: A Marriage Weekend for
Pastors and Ministry Leaders
September 26 - 27, 2014
Reformed Theological Seminary Chapel
2101 Carmel Road in Charlotte
Seminar cost is $125.00 per couple, but we are offering
a discounted rate of just $25.00 for
current RTS students, area pastors & ministry leaders!
Ministry is hard on marriage. So many expectations. So many relationships. Lots of pressure to have it together. No one to share the struggles with.
How can we honestly enter into the hope and the disappointments of marriage in a way that not only moves us toward one another but toward Jesus, while engaging with so many other people in our congregations? Can God use the harder times even more than the times of success for us as well as for our parishioners?
This weekend has been designed specifically for pastors, ministry leaders and their spouses. We hope to meet each couple at the point of their unique challenge in a way that Christ becomes both more real and more central. Our belief is that God shows up in very unique ways in the marriage relationship. He wants to use your most significant other to draw you to the most significant One.
Heart to Heart is structured as a series of talks followed by assignments for each couple. The weekend is intended to teach Biblical truths that can be inserted in practical ways into relationships. There are no small groups during the weekend. No one will be required to share anything personal with anyone other than their spouse.
Palmer Trice and Roger Edwards will be teaching the Heart to Heart seminar. They have been leading marriage retreats for over twenty years and have counseled and mentored many in full-time ministry. This is their world,
and they’d love to share it with you.
