Saint Francis Medical Center is committed to raising awareness of women's unique risk factors for heart disease through the annual Heart to Heart Luncheons.
The Heart to Heart committee chose Zonya Foco, RD, CHFI, CSP, as the keynote speaker for the 2013 luncheon. As “America’s Nutrition Leader,” Foco is a master of inspiration, motivation and visual humor, providing hard-facts information and simple solutions that help everyday people improve health, create balance and maximize energy. An author, TV host and national speaker, Foco is leading America in the fight against obesity, diabetes, cancer and heart disease through smart nutrition and fitness.
Foco pulls out all the stops in her live presentations, video seminars and TV show—delivering equal parts entertainment and education all the way. Zonya helps people laugh at their bad habits and discover the joy in adopting new, healthier habits.
Tickets are available for purchase here or at the Fitness Plus Service Desk, 150 S. Mount Auburn Rd, entrance 8.
Any proceeds from the Heart to Heart Luncheons go to the Cardiac Rehabilitation Patient Scholarship fund at Saint Francis. These scholarships benefit female cardiac patients in need of financial assistance. Since the luncheons began in 2008, more than $15,000 has been raised and used through the scholarship.
If you cannot attend the luncheon but would like to give to the Cardiac Rehabilitation Patient Scholarship fund, you can donate online at www.foundation.sfmc.net.
