- Strategy Plus' Hannah Kim on how a participatory design research process can transform healthcare workplaces. Hannah Kim is a strategic consultant working across industry sectors with a focus on helping leaders drive performance by harnessing the power of people and how they interact with their workspaces.
- Paloma Medina on the powerful results of empowering healthcare workforces with creative problem solving and design thinking frameworks. Paloma is a Performance Improvement consultant and trainer with a passion for innovation and workforce empowerment. She has been leading change initiatives in nonprofits and health centers for nearly a decade, with dramatic results in productivity, staff job satisfaction and leadership capacity.
- Design Gym’s Andy Hagerman and Miles Begin on their success applying design thinking to increase physician engagement and health care staff retention. Andy Hagerman is co-founder of the Design Gym and a Business and Innovation strategist at Jump Associates, where he works with Fortune 500 companies to create new products, services, and businesses. Miles Begin is Director of User Experience at American Express, Design Gym co-founder and an expert in bridging industrial and interaction design for seamless cross-platform user experiences.
Hands-On Workshop & Ideathon
Following the speakers, participants will dive right into a workshop and Ideathon -- practicing selected design thinking techniques to generate new game-changing ideas in healthcare delivery. The event will be structured for interdisciplinary conversations -- inviting design thinkers, health leaders, social innovators, and healthcare providers to contribute towards a robust spectrum of ideas.
