Healing Through Art:
Using Art to Work Through Difficult Emotions

Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013

Dr. Colleen Moss
(Educational Psychologist & Artist)

Marilyn Huerta
(Arts & Lectures Coordinator, President of San Marcos Arts Council and Artist)

Join us for a special, one-day, “hands-on”, workshop to experience the healing and transformative power of art. This workshop is designed to help participants cope with any painful/unresolved emotions that are caused by difficult life events (such as loss, bereavement, divorce, trauma, chronic/serious illness, etc.). Participants will learn about why and how art “heals”, and will participate in hands-on activities to promote self-awareness, self-expression, and physical and emotional well-being. These activities will take place in a non-threatening, safe environment. Nobody will be asked to share anything with the group that they do not wish to.

All adults 18 or over are welcome to attend.

No artistic experience required.

Register early! The workshop is limited to 20 people.
