HEADLINES Newsletter

Next Month

On May 1, 1993, my work was shifted from Los Angeles, California to a new approach to develop a collaborative enterprise, a national profile and international outreach.  Included in that shift was a personal and family move to Seattle, Washington.  For me, it has been an interesting 20 years!

Next month, May 2013, will be spent (1) reflecting on the full scope of more than 40 years as an independent person in the communications world, (2) examining the presumed trajectory from this time forward, and (3) launching a periodical to document business that matters to Thornhill & Studio.

There are plans for a print and digital experience in this subscriber-supported publication.  HEADLINES Newsletter will appear monthly - starting with the June 2013 test issue.

Instead of the fleeting rush of excitement of an anniversary party, the celebration of these past 20 years is a pragmatic, yet gentle, combining of the winning strategies of the past, with an adoption of new skills for presentation and information distribution for colleagues, partners and supporters - led by this monthly news.

Can we get together?  Perhaps you can help find companies interested in partnering.  Categories needed for the newsletter are: Administration, Research, Scheduling, Writers, Design, Photography, Facilities and developers to create a brand new Digital Landscape.

Just when I need to renew my participation in the photography community, Paris Photo Los Angeles comes along to make this fascinating, yet hard, work easier.

Paris Photo Los Angeles will be held April 26-28, 2013 from 12:00 to 7:00 pm (6:00 pm on Sunday, April 28) at the historic Paramount Pictures Studios.  If you want it, there is a private preview on April 25, 2013.

Photography is the main illustration tool in the design of HEADLINES Newsletter, the new monthly publication from Thornhill & Studio.

Photography will be used to create the first presentation for Thornhill & Studio.  We see it as a slide show and possibly as a self-promoting gallery show.

While in California this month, I expect to gain a lot from the Paris Photo show.  In addition, there will be discussions and meetings for the newsletter.  In these conversations, photography (as well other very basic “publisher” points) will be included as one of the main subjects.

And lastly, did you know that Thornhill News ( has maintained a file of photography information and contacts under the banner of Photography People?

Let me know your interest!
