Room Number: 313ABC

Time: 12:30 pm - 2:00pm

More and more companies are realizing that in order to make great strides with their business, especially in a short amount of time, they need to outsource some of the principal activities happening inside of their companies. Although many social media purists are against outsourcing a business' social media, when done correctly it can mean the world of difference for your business' marketing success.

In this presentation with Erin Blaskie, owner of a 7-year old virtual assistance and social media support firm, you will learn about the ways that you can outsource your social media, including Google + activities, and still maintain an authentic and inspired message for your company. This presentation won't just focus on the outsourcing aspect - it will provide you with practical advice on ways to also use social media for your company, how to integrate it into your website and more.

Erin Blaskie started her first company at the age of 21. BSETC was launched to support entrepreneurs with their ever-growing businesses. ‘GOOGLE+’ UPSHOT FOCUS OF

2011 SOCIAL MEDIA SUMMIT ON WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 19TH

Leverage Social Media to Achieve Business Marketing Goals

The Internet has been abuzz over the newest innovation from Google called “Google+” (Google-plus). Now is your chance to learn how this new social media platform can benefit your bottom line at the Second Annual Hawaii Social Media Summit being held at the Hawaii Convention Center on Wednesday, October 19th from 9:00 a.m. to 4: 00 p.m.

It’s time to learn about Google+ because all businesses should care about their online reputation, what customers have to say and where they are saying it,” said Quincy Solano, president of Technology news Bytes. “Social media marketing is changing at lightning speed and we all need to keep up with the trends or our businesses will suffer.”

The whole concept for Google+ was created around the idea that sharing on the Internet should be personal, which has not been entirely true with many of today's popular social media clients. Whenever someone shares a video, picture, link, etc. on the Internet, Google says it is displayed publicly for the world to see. The company now says this new service will give users much more control.

Symposium speakers from around the nation will share their best practices and insights on developing and implementing large scale social marketing and advertising strategy. Presentations will focus on Google+, why businesses need to understand social media, how to formulate content, create a social outreach plan to inform, persuade and ultimately convert customers and how it affects the company’s bottom line.

The Summit is part of the 8th annual Technology and Internet Expo, the best place to see the newest and hottest products, services and cutting-edge innovations in technology. Attendees will learn how to integrate social media into their business, allowing them to generate leads, keep up with their companies industry, and monitor the online conversation about their business.

Known as the largest annual event of its kind in the State of Hawaii, the summit and expo supports local communities on all islands by creating a centralized venue where new technologies and electrifying innovations are introduced allowing businesses and individuals to “see the bigger picture” and “keep it local” by possibly generating additional investments and business growth.

Registration for the summit beings at 8:00 a.m. Three seminar track sessions will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Plus, summit attendees will receive a free all-access badge to the 2011 Technology and Internet Expo.
