We’re hosting an event to help you get time on your side so you can do the things you really enjoy. Hear a keynote speaker discuss how to juggle obligations, participate in a workshop where you’ll learn the top time-management tips, and network with other attendees.
- Keynote Speaker – Attendees will learn from David Chang, chairman and CEO of Chang Holding Company, how to identify common distractions that prevent effective time management, including how to implement the Three R’s: Regroup, Reorganize and Reprioritize.
Chang is the editor of The Art of Thinking Smart, a blog and finance column in The Star-Advertiser’s weekly Midweek with a readership of over 400,000 people. In 2013, Chang was selected as Top 40 Under 40 Militaryby CivilianJobs.com. In 2011, Pacific Edge Magazine selected David as Young Professional of the Year. In 2010, he was selected as the Business Leader of the Year from the Pacific Business News 2010 class of Forty Under 40in Hawaii. He was elected Chairman of the Hawaii Republican Party in 2011 and 2013 and served as a member of the Republican National Committee. Chang is married to Beth Fukumoto Chang, an elected Hawaii State Representative for District 36 – Mililani and Mililani Mauka.
- “Your Time Management Personality” – Attendees will learn the characteristics, strengths and challenges of their individual time management personality and how to overcome roadblocks in order to be more productive.
Workshop Presenter: Arlis Liu, MBA, University Faculty
Arlis Liu obtained her bachelor’s degree from Chaminade University and her MBA from Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, Hawaii and has had a thirty five year career in business in the telecommunications and electric utility industries in Hawaii. Her career included assignments in human resource management, sales management, business management and corporate and sales training. She is currently a Human Resource Professional at a local utility Company in Honolulu where she partners with company leaders on various human capital needs to meet organizational goals and strategies. Prior to this current role, she was a Call Center Manager, where she led a workforce of 150 employees located in centers in Honolulu, Hilo, Hawaii and Tucson, Arizona.
- Networking Forum – Attendees can employ new strategies learned by getting organized at work and home, creating goals and utilizing list-making applications to help them stay focused at work, school or home.
