A Halloween attraction:
Tickets are available online through Eventbrite up until 5pm on October 31st. Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $7 each. Hours of operation for the Haunted Depot are 8pm to midnight. Tickets are good for one visit and are collected at the door. Guided tours are managed by local "ghouls and goblins" while groups of visitors are taken through the horrific scenes.
Begin your trip with a "Ticket to Ride" and avoid patrons who may have missed a train or two... sometimes, the wait can be a very long time... so long, that when hunger pains strike - brains are the only thing that will satisfy their rotting corpses.
Once you've escaped the waiting room, you'll enter the electrical hub of the station, where computers and other mechanical devices are really juiced up with artificial intelligence. Michael Myers has found a new fascination with wires, cables and hand tools! Now that he's found electricity, nothing can stop the madness!
Next you'll be escorted through an area that may or may not contain proof that the truth is out there. Here the aliens are anything but cute and cuddly. Their mission is to invade, conquer and eliminate the human species. Would you know if your friend was still your friend or just an alien in disguise?
As you turn the corner, still wondering about the rest of your party's humanity, you'll enter the Blood Bath. Plumbing can only flush so much before it becomes a monster of it's own. What WILL come up through the pipes when you're not looking?
The Ghost Train has been known to make its eery appearance and often without notice. When that whistle blows, prepare to take cover or run for your life! There are no rules that say it has to stay on the tracks.
Survive the tour and you'll be rewarded with pumpkins and more in a quaint little novelty store. Vendors line the Depot front with refreshments and concessions for purchase.
The Poplar Bluff Historic Depot Restoration Corporation is a not for profit organization and will utilize funds raised through admissions and sponsorships to rebuild and restore the Historic Train Depot in 2012. Thank you for your support.
