Celebrating Seven Years

Harvest on the Harbor celebrates its seventh year as Maine's Food + Wine Festival! Eat, Drink, and Enjoy exceptional Food, Beer, Wine, and Spirits from Maine and around the world. Award-winning chefs, epicurean presentations, and live entertainment - all happening on Portland's waterfront! 

This year's event promises to bring even more of what Maine is renowned for - delectably delicious culinary creations from Maine's top chefs and producers who take pride in presenting products that are locally grown and responsibly harvested. The harvest season is a very special time on the coast of Maine, and we invite you to enjoy an amazing array of food and beverage tastings, educational sessions, and some fun and entertaining surprises - all of which are designed to wow you!

Giving Back to the Community

We're often asked what charitable organizations benefits from the proceeds of Harvest on the Harbor. We have chosen to direct our financial contributions toward hospitality and culinary scholarhsips in support of our next generation of tourism employees and aspiring chefs. In addition to awarding scholarship funds to deserving students, we offer them opportunities to actively participate in all aspects of the festival from food prep and serving to cooking demonstrations and event management.

This year, Harvest on the Harbor is proud to partner with the Good Shepherd Food Bank of Maine. We are commited to provide awareness and financial support to the Childrens Summer Food Program.

 

Welcome to our seventh annual Harvest on the Harbor, the Convention + Visitors Bureau’s toast to Maine’s culinary arts. This year’s event promises to bring even more of what Maine is renowned for - delectably delicious culinary creations from Maine’s top chefs and producers who take pride in presenting products that are locally grown and responsibly harvested.

You won’t want to miss our signature event – the Grand Tasting on the Harbor where guests have an opportunity to sample Maine’s best restaurants and meet the chef owners personally. We’ve upped the ante by pairing some of the most unbelievable beers, wines and spirits with our specialty chef creations.

Always a crowd pleaser, the Maine Lobster Chef of the Year Competition will surely satisfy your hankering for the tasty crustacean in a thrilling showdown designed to crown Maine’s best lobster chef.

Samplings at the Marketplace will return this year, introducing you to even more of Maine’s best food products along with an even larger sampling of Maine’s own spirits and micro brews along with wines from Maine and every corner of the world.

Back again in 2014, The Insider Series presented by Down East Magazine, an experience with the opportunity to personally meet and mingle with some of the beverage industry’s most knowledgeable professionals. The Wine Tasting Experience offers VIP access to an intimate tasting in the magnificent Oceanview Room, Alternatively, the Beer Tasting Experience stages the opportunity for guests to sip with the Maine Craft Brewers and Beer Geeks in the Building 3 at The Portland Company.

Back by result of overwhelming popularity in 2013, we have decided to call on Maine's craft brewers for a third year of the festive Brews & Blues BBQ.  At this returning event, you’ll enjoy everything from grill & pit master to sensational side dishes and the best blues music around.

We invite you to share in the harvest bounty and join us for four chock-filled days of sumptuous tastings right here in Portland on the beautiful coast of Maine!
