Harvest Jubilee: A Local Communal Brunch
Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM (PDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
We invite you to join us on the beautiful grounds of Rockmill Brewery and share a dish for a farm-to-fork potluck brunch. This is your destination to mingle, tap your feet to live music, and savor dozens of fabulous homemade creations!
There will be great raffle items, inevitable recipe exchanging, and all proceeds go to support Local Matters programming.
Rockmill brews 5 Belgian-style beers right on this property using the water from its natural spring, and they will be available for purchase at the event. Learn more about the Brewery here
To get a dose of what awaits you at the farm, check out Columbus Food Adventures' post on their visit.
After the event ends, everyone is welcome to keep the leisurely afternoon going at the farm. The Tasting Room will stay open until 8 pm to fulfill all your Belgian ale needs. There's no better time in Ohio than late summer to explore local offerings and eat what's truly in season, so we hope to see you there!
UPDATE: Ticket sales have ended, but they can be purchased at the door with cash or via Square. Please follow potluck guidelines below as usual.
Plus many thanks for our generous raffle and potluck sponsors: North Market, Organic GreenFix, Terra Escentials, Kolache Republic, Homage, North Market Spices, Till Dynamic Fare, Candles with A Cause, Thunderkiss & Fare City Feed.
Bring a dish that uses one or more locally-sourced ingredients.
This ingredient can range anywhere from produce to honey to meat. If there is something that you're not familiar with, this a perfect time to branch out and experiment! We will provide cards for you toname your dish and share the source of the local ingredient(s).
When purchasing your ticket, choose the option of "savory dish" or "sweet dish".
The "savory” dishes can be an appetizer, soup, bread, cheese, side dish, salad, entree, etc.
As an individual attending, your dish should serve 4-6people and for every 2 attending a single dish
should serve 6-8 people.
Dishes need to be manageable to transport and preferably can be served at room temperature.
If needed, there will be some available refrigeration and freezer, cooking amenities and
electricity for crock pots. No one here is a tupperware snob, but your recipe deserves a
nice platter to show it off, just sayin ;-)
You are in charge of bringing your own seating and picnic supplies.
Be it a blanket, cushion, collapsible table/chairs, etc. Don't be shy about adding a vase of flowers or even a
centerpiece, if you wish. Please also remember to bring silverware, place settings, a serving utensil for
your dish, and drinking vessels.
Rockmill beers are available for purchase during and after the event. But, you are
welcome to bring any beverages of your choice to accompany your meal. We will have complimentary Thunderkiss iced coffee on hand.
