Our Panel

Sam Lessin is currently an Intern at The Information, where he is writing a column Modest Proposals. Before that he worked at Facebook, initially as a Product Manager in charge of Profile & building Timeline, and most recently as VP of Product Management. Prior to that Sam founded drop.io, a file-sharing company acquired by Facebook in 2010. Sam has worked at Bain and Company and graduated in 2005 with an A.B. in Social Studies.

Matt Mahan is the CEO of Brigade, a technology company launched in 2014 to tackle the problem of declining citizen power and engagement in democracy. Previously he served as CEO of Causes, the world's largest online campaigning platform, and has prior experience in political campaigning and community organizing. In 2004, Matt ran the first political campaign to leverage Facebook data.

Amy Sun is a Marketing Manager on the Growth team at Uber. Before Uber, Amy worked as a Product Marketing Manager at Microsoft in Seattle. Amy graduated from Harvard College in 2012 with a degree in Economics.

Carolina Ragolta is a Product Manager at Inflection. She studied biomedical engineering and graduated from Harvard in 2013. Carolina is passionate about introducing young women to science and technology, long-distance running, and baking cupcakes.

Eric Newcomer is a reporter for The Information, where he writes about startups and venture capital. He broke the news that Amazon, not Google, was going to buy Twitch for $970 million. He's also an avid bridge player.

The offices of Brigade, a civic engagement startup led by Harvard alum Matt Mahan. The address is 548 4th St. 2nd Floor (between Bryant and Brannan St.) in San Francisco.
