MEET UP: at the Darmouth St. entrance. Look for a HOST wearing a Harvard t-shirt. The Boston Public Library is located at 700 Boylston Street. Turn the corner to get to Dartmouth Street (across from Copley Square and the Trinity Church). To get to the BPL take the Green line to Copley or walk over after touring the Copley Farmers Market at 1:00 pm. Take a self-guided tour of the architecture of Charles Follen McKim and Philip Johnson at the Boston Public Library, as well as the many works of famed sculptors and painters. Sat Aug 30 S-CAP Service Project @10:00 AM
S-CAP (Student-Community Action Partnership) will be partnering with Room to Grow (http://www.roomtogrow.org/), an organization that provides social services to low-income families, particularly when a mother is pregnant in her 3rd trimester all the way until a child turns 3. Each time a family comes in (every 3 months), they get to choose 10 books and any clothes and toys they would like (for free), and when they're done with the items, they're encouraged to pass them on to other family members/friends. Meet at Room to Grow, 142 Berkeley Street, Boston, MA 02116 at 9:45 AM. We will be volunteering from 10 am to 12 pm and then afterwards eating lunch at a restaurant to discuss service-learning and meet other students interested in service. Come to a Red Sox Game with your fellow HSPH friends and peers! Meet outside the Kresge Entrance at 6:15pm and walk over together. The game starts at 7:10pm, so this will allow time for travel, security, and settling in. You will be purchasing a ticket to the Red Sox Game on September 5th @ 7:10pm. The Red Sox are playing the Toronto Blue Jays at Fenway Park. Please pick up your ticket(s) in the Office for Student Affairs.

Join us for social activities during Orientation Week, meet returning and continuing HSPH students who will share their knowledge of HSPH and Boston with you.
