This interactive webinar will provide an overview of our powerful visual and kinesthetic approach to introducing students in grades 3 - 9 to algebraic concepts..
We will show how the game pieces along with physical actions are used to represent and solve equations such as:
- 4x + 3 = 3x + 9
- 2(x + 4) = x + 10
- 3x + (-x) = x + 4
- 2x = (-x) + 12
In addition, we will provide a glimpse of how Hands-On Equations can assist students in solving verbal problems such as:
- Three times a number, increased by 2, is the same as the number increased by 10. Find the number.
- Sally is four years older than Tim. If the sum of their ages is 22, how old is each?
